Rainbow Songs music school locations are in multiple Toronto locations
We hope you love singing with Rainbow Songs at our different Toronto music school locations. Toronto is home to family friendly and unique neighbourhoods where our music classes for kids take place. After singing children’s songs in your Rainbow Songs music program there are great activities for toddlers, babies, and moms and caregivers nearby. Take a look at the list below for some great ideas of places to go and things to do in Toronto in the West End and in particular in the Annex, Roncesvalles, Bloor West Village and Junction. Join our fun classes for toddlers and babies for the Winter session (pro-rated) or Spring session. And after that enjoy the family friendly Toronto neighbourhoods too.
Toronto Baby and Toddler Activities in the Annex
After singing at one of Rainbow Songs’ Annex locations (Annex – St. Alban’s Girls and Boys’ House and Annex South location at Trinity St. Paul Church) why not wander through the neighbourhood and enjoy all it has to offer young families. Toronto is an endless source of fun kid-friendly and mommy approved baby and toddler activities. The Annex neighbourhood, a West end gem, is no exception.
Play at Vermont Square Park.This is a great space for outdoor fun! The park has lots of space for running around and also has swings and other climbing activities.
Check out the unique fashions at Trove. This store has gorgeous shoes, clothes and accessories. Located at Bloor and Bathurst it is close by to both the Rainbow Songs Annex location at St. Alban’s Girls and Boys’ House and Rainbow Songs Annex South location at Trinity St. Paul Church.
There are lots of coffee shops to grab a hot drink and relax indoors on a cold winter day. Here are some great options: Mallo Coffee & Bar, Slanted Door, or a fun new spot like Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes.
Go to the library! There are two great Toronto Library branches in this neighbourhood: Palmerston and Bloor or Spadina and North of Bloor. Both locations have wonderful children’s books sections. One fun activity is to find children’s books that mirror some of the songs in our singing classes!
Get some art supplies at Midoco – This art supplies store has it all – kids art supplies, craft ideas, office supplies, toys and games too! You and your toddler can use your creative flare to dream up all kinds of projects and activities for those days you need to stay indoors.

Toronto Baby and Toddler Activities inHigh Park and Swansea
Live in High Park Village? Rainbow Songs has two locations where you can join our music programs for babies and toddlers – High Park and Swansea. We are very proud to hold Rainbow Songs classes in these neighbourhoods. When you and your toddler or infant sing with Rainbow Songs, we encourage you to wander and enjoy these wonderful West end neighbourhoods.
The biggest attraction in these neighbourhoods is the iconic High Park. This is the city of Toronto’s largest park and has been open to the public since 1876! You and your child could spend hours wandering this lush green space. In High Park the possibilities of outdoor fun are endless. Hit the awesome playground, or have grab a drink at the restaurant. Have those songs about animals stuck in your head? You and your toddler can even sing the songs you learned in class to the animals in the High Park Zoo!
A little further west of High Park, in the Swansea neighbourhood is the legendary Cheese Boutique. After singing with Rainbow Songs, a visit to this neighbourhood shop promises an epic food adventure! You and your toddler or infant will marvel at all the many food wonders from the pattiserie, to the shelves of chocolates, to the massive cheese counter. You’ll be humming your favourite Rainbow Songs tunes while you take in all the lovely sights smells and tastes!
Toronto Baby and Toddler Activities inRoncesvalles
Roncesvalles Village is not only the home to Rainbow Songs head office and a location where our music classes for children take place, but it is also a vibrant neighbourhood full of young families. When you are finished singing with Rainbow Songs Roncesvalles, you and your infant or toddler have many options for fun nearby!
Roncesvalles Village is within walking distance from two lovely parks, High Park and Sorauren Park. High Pak is Toronto’s largest and most famous park with more features than you can explore in one day. Sorauren Park is a smaller local favourite. It features tennis courts, a running and walking track, baseball diamond and small soccer field. It’s such a great place to get active! Directly across Wabash Avenue from Sorauren Park is the Charles G. Williams playground. This playground has its own mini park featuring swings, sandbox a supervised wading pool and a basketball court. The Charles G. Williams playground is a favourite of local parents and toddlers!
Roncesvalles Avenue or “Roncy” is lined with many enticing small businesses. If you and your toddler are in the mood to shop after your Rainbow Songs class, check out Scooter Girl Toys! This colourful shop has so many wonderful toys, gifts and books for kids of all ages. There are also many cafes and bakeries where you and your little one can have a treat like Mabels or Fantail.
Another popular indoor activity for kids in Roncesvalles Village, is visiting the High Park Toronto Public Library branch! This lovely old library branch is filled with books and kids activities for some “quiet time” with you infant or toddler. Roncesvalles Village is definitely a kid friendly hub for Rainbow Songs families. And another place to look through kids’ books is at Another Story Bookshop. They have a fantastic collection of children’s books at the back of the store.
Toronto Baby and Toddler Activities inTrinity Bellwoods
Rainbow Songs families in the Queen St. West region love to sing with us at our Trinity Bellwoods location! Toddlers and parents or caregivers also have fun strolling this vibrant neighbourhood all year round. Trinity Bellwoods Park is a great stop any time of year for outdoor fun. You can also run and play in the multipurpose sports field, or skate in the winter! This park also features a playground and splash pad that are very popular with local toddlers and parents.
Is your infant or toddler a dog lover? There are plenty of cute and friendly four legged friends who also play in Trinity Bellwoods Park. It’s always fun watching all the different breeds of pooches play in the famous Trinity Bellwoods dog bowl. If you feel more like relaxing after your Rainbow Songs class, pack a blanket and picnic basket and snuggle up to your infant or toddler under one of the many beautiful trees. There are so many downtown and west end families who frequent this beloved green space.
This neighbourhood is also filled with unique shops and cafes. Check out the White Squirrel Coffee shop, right across from the park. You can get a delicious artisan coffee and your tot can get a sweet treat like a pastry or ice cream! Your toddler will also have fun shopping at Kol Kid a hip and unique toy store which also sells fashionable children’s clothing. Mini Mioche is another great shop nearby if your baby or toddler is a budding fashionista.

Toronto Baby and Toddler Activities in the Junction
The Junction has also become a popular neighbourhood for young families in recent years. At Rainbow Songs, we are thrilled to be a part of this neighbourhood’s growth by hosting our music classes. Check out the Rainbow Songs Junction location here. Type Bookstore is a lovely new addition to the neighbourhood, located at Dundas West and Keele, the heart of the Junction! This gorgeous new store has a curated selection of books of all genres, including award winning children’s books. They have a cute little children’s reading corner where you and your toddler or infant can cozy up in with your next favourite book.
Another fun thing to do in the Junction is shopping for fun new kids’ fashions! This neighbourhood boasts having three highly regarded but distinctive children’s boutiques. At Snug as a Bug, you’ll find not only unique and trendy clothes for your infant or toddler, but even some items for yourself, including adult sized fleece onesies! Baby on the Hip is another great store with baby and toddler clothing and accessories that are natural and eco-friendly. Finally, there is Toki, a fun, colourful little shop that sells pre-loved and gently used baby and children’s clothing.
A visit to above ground arts, also on Dundas Street West, can help you plan your toddler’s next great arts and crafts activity!
