As Toronto’s oldest and largest preschool music program, over the years we have designed a helpful list of policies and guidelines to ensure that our classes run smoothly.

Terms and Conditions of Enrollment

Enrollment in any Rainbow Songs® class is subject to our terms and conditions. Please ensure that you have read and understand the following before enrolling your child. Contact us (416-535-5247, info@rainbowsongs.com) if you have any questions!

Class Enrollment

Our enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis. You are welcome to enroll for any session available on our online booking system at any time. By enrolling early you will secure a spot. We suggest you book early as classes often fill up long before our starting dates. Session schedules and baby and toddler music class availability can also be found at our online booking system.

Payment

Upon enrollment, payment information will need to be provided to secure your spot. Preferred payment is by Visa or Mastercard.
You may also come to the Rainbow Songs head office and pay for your class by cash. Please call ahead of time to book your appointment.

Cost

The cost for Rainbow Songs® music classes is $21.99 per class when enrolling in an entire session. If a class is not full, you may join that class after its start date. At that point, payment is at a prorated cost of $21.99 per class for the remaining classes in a session.

Drop-In Classes

Single drop-in classes are $25 per child. To book, call our office during business hours (Mon-Fri, 9AM to 5PM) with your preferred dates and your Visa or MasterCard information. We cannot book without payment. Payment must be made through the office, and will not be accepted at Rainbow Songs classes.

Please note that space for drop-ins is limited and is available strictly on a first-come first-served basis. We recommend booking drop-ins as far in advance as possible (although we will happily accept same-day bookings as long as space allows).

Upon booking and payment, we will issue you a voucher with a confirmation number (via e-mail). You may book a drop-in at any of our 20 Toronto Music Class locations. Please show the voucher to the instructor at the beginning of music class.

Our sibling discount rate is in effect for drop-ins! We offer a 25% discount off the cost of the second (or more) child attending the same class.

Bringing a Sibling

Very young babies (up to 5 months old), sleeping in car seats or strollers can come to older sibling’s classes for free, without registering. Children 6 years and older may also come along to their siblings classes for free, without registering, as a “big helper”.

Children between the ages of 5 months and age five must be booked into their sibiling’s class. We offer a sibling discount of 25% off the cost of the class for the second (or more) child enrolled together in the same class. This discount is applicable to both drop-ins and regular enrollment.

Refunds

Rainbow Songs understands that family life when your children are young often has a lot of changes and transitions. As such – we offer a flexible de-enrollment policy. You can de-enroll from a class for any time, at any reason.

When you de-enroll early from a class, you will receive an account credit for the cost of the remaining classes in the term. This credit can be kept in whole for later use, or refunded back to you. Refunds are subject to a $25 admin fee.

Account credits may be used toward future Rainbow Songs® classes, or other products or services we sell (including birthday parties, CDs, t-shirts, instruments, etc).

Music Program Cancellation

Rainbow Songs® reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program due to low enrollment, facility cancellation, instructor illness, etc. We endeavour to give as much notice as possible for class cancellation, but note that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, we may have to cancel last-minute.

If Rainbow Songs® makes the decision to cancel a class, your rainbowsongs.com account will be credited for the cost. You may keep this credit for later use, or take a full refund to your original method of payment. No admin fee will be levied on a refund of any credit resulting from a cancellation made by the Rainbow Songs team.

Class Capacity

Rainbow Songs® enrolls up to a maximum of 13 children per standard baby and toddler music class. Up to 2 more children may attend any one class, for drop-ins, previews, or makeups.

2 adults can attend per child enrolled, at any time.

Requirements

Bring your smiles! We look forward to singing with you and your little one. You do not need to bring any other materials or supplies.

Participation of Caregivers in our Music Classes for Babies and Toddlers

The participation of parents and caregivers in Rainbow Songs® programs is an extremely important part of the success of the music classes. Parent or caregiver participation is a requirement of your child’s enrollment. We look forward to singing and making music with you and your child! You may not drop your child off at any of our classes.

We know that one reason you come to Rainbow Songs is to meet other young families, and to share a parenting experience with friends. We encourage you to get to know other adults in the class before and after class time. During class, it is important that you participate! Please refrain from socializing with other parents or caregivers during class time.

Snack Policy

We understand that sometimes your child may need a small snack during class time. In order to keep distractions at a minimum, we ask that you remove yourself from the circle or class space if you need to feed your child, and return once your child has eaten.

Cellphone And Camera Policy

While we all love our gadgets, Rainbow Songs is not the place for them. We require that you turn your cell phones off and leave all cameras and video cameras at home in order to respect the privacy and enjoyment of others in your class.

We understand that sometimes it’s necessary to remain reachable even during music class. If that is the case, we ask that you keep your cell phone on vibrate and leave the class room to answer those important calls. If you have to receive a call, please step outside with your child and return when you are finished.

Makeup Classes

You may take four makeup classes per session, which must be used in the same session in which the scheduled class(es) are missed.

As most of our classes run close to or at capacity you must obtain a Make-Up Confirmation (voucher) from our online booking system before you can attend a make-up class.

To obtain this voucher, sign into your account, click on the “My Account” drop-down menu (furthest right on the orange bar), choose the option “Book Makeup Class”, and you will be able to select the class(es) you would like to attend. Once complete, the system will email you a voucher to bring to class. You can either print this out, or display it on your phone.

If you do not have this voucher with you as proof of booking, you will not be permitted to take your makeup class.

Unused makeups do NOT roll over from one session to another. Missed classes from past sessions cannot be applied to present or future sessions. No exceptions.

Sickness Policy

If  your child has a fever, a rash, is vomiting, or has pink eye, please do not bring them to class. These are the signs that your child is probably contagious and could infect other people in the class. If your child does have any of the aforementioned symptoms, you should visit your doctor and they will tell you when it would be safe to be around other kids. Participants should also follow good hand-washing protocols and wash their hands after contact with other people. If these simple protocols are followed, there is little risk of infections spreading.

Rainbow Songs® provides hand sanitizer in all our classes. Please make liberal use of this resource to cut down on the spread of germs.

Behaviour Code

Rainbow Songs® classes are designed as inclusive environments where people of all kinds come together to make music. As such, we operate in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Please note –

1) Verbal or physical abuse of any kind during, before, or after classes will not be tolerated and can be grounds for de-enrollment.

2) If your child is continually disruptive and interferes with the enjoyment of the classes for other participants, they may be de-enrolled from the class.

3) Rainbow Songs Inc. reserves the right to cancel an enrollment or class at any time due to inappropriate behaviour of participants.

4) Rainbow Songs Inc. reserves the right to cancel an enrollment or class for any reason it sees fit and to issue a refund.

Privacy and Security

Rainbow Songs® collects personally identifiable information from you when you enroll in any of our classes or purchase items from our store. This information may include your name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card number, and your child’s date of birth. We collect this information to ensure expedient service in future enrollments, and to keep you informed of enrollment confirmations, class start dates and other important information.
