Well the Whitla/Haberman family needs a vacation and we want to go somewhere where we get to by a eco friendly method.
We do not own a car and try to live our lives with as little an environmental impact as possible but still with a full rich life. That leaves us the Bike, Train and Bus and leaves out the car. This is a bit of a challenge as it turns out. Lisa (my wife) and my favourite way to vacation is to tour on bicycle but unfortunately our kids are 4 and 2 years old and that seems like it would be more work that vacation and it might turn Kyle and Jake off bike touring for life. Ok life gets in the way of blogging. I have been really busy I have been working on a kid’s TV show as a recurring character as well as writing music for it. It has been interesting and quite a bit of fun and I have now finished 5 of 6 episodes I am involved with. The show is produced by the same people who produced “This is Daniel Cook” and is a “reality” show set in a daycare. It will be called “Jungle Room” and it should air in late 2007 or early 2008. Today my son Jake (4 years old) rode a two-wheeler for the first time (with any degree of success).
Jake had been trying for a couple of days now and today he just exploded and rode for over an hour.
Pretty exciting stuff.

I went with my family today to the Toronto Model Railway Club open house. They allow admission to the public the last 3 Sundays in February each year. So if you are in town check it out. It is a pretty amazing place. The permanent installation is 4800 square feet of “O” gage civilization. It is a train lover’s dream. Needless to say Jake and Kyle, my two budding train geeks, were in heaven. Check it out:
