Origin of “The Moose Song”
Ok. I have heard a few versions of this great “repeat after me” song. One sung by Joel Exner (a former Rainbow Songs teacher) one sung by Alana Kurtis (another former Rainbow Songs teacher) and most recently this one sung by the staff of the Bayview Wildwood resort. Anyway if you know where this song came from or who wrote it or know other words please post them in the comments:
This is the words as sung by the staff of the Bayview Wildwoord resort.

Now I know that Joel Exner had a “moral of the story” verse in addition to these verses. So if you know a different version or more verses please post your yours.
If you can record a version and post if somewhere on the internet all you need to do is put a link to the mp3 file in your post and everybody will be able to hear it.
Anybody know where this song came from?
How far back do you guys know this one?

Ok I’ve got the “moral of the story verse” it goes:
The moral of this song. (repeat)
Is drinking juice in bed is wrong. (repeat)

Wayo Wayo (repeat)
Wayo, wayo, wayo, wayo (repeat)
Mike,
My version of the song is much like the one that you have posted in the body of this page, but I did a little bit of research and found that there are no copyrights to the song, and as far as I am able to find, no marketed recordings exist. As I was looking, though, I did stumble upon a bunch of variations and these two versions popped up:
His wifes name was Tess. (repeat)
She had to clean up all the mess. (repeat)
His wifes name was Tess. (repeat)
She had to clean up all the mess. (repeat)
Chorus
She cleaned up all the juice, (repeat)
And said your a silly moose. (repeat)
She cleaned up all the juice, (repeat)
And said your a silly moose. (repeat)
Chorus
Anyway, it is something else to play with! Oh, and thanks for the reference!

Joel
Thanks for coming by. Nice to hear from you.
Hi i used to sing this song on school trips with my primary school and i do seem to remember there being a verse where he had to have a bath
Now he’s a sticky moose. (repeat)
Cause he’s a moose that’s full of juice. (repeat)
Now he’s a sticky moose. (repeat)
Cause he’s a moose that’s full of juice. (repeat)
I normally do actions with the song.
Moose = Moose antlers on my head
Juice = making a saucer with one hand and sipping a pretend cup with the other
Bed = Hands together to the side of your head like you’re sleeping
Care = hands crossed over your chest
Hair = touch hair
Sticky = grab at your shirt a couple times like its sticky
Have your say
