I recently entered four of my songs into the International Songs writing competition in the children’s category:
The competition it pretty high profile and includes judges like Tom Waits, Brian Wilson and Rosanne Cash, Macy Gray and John Scofield. Much to my surprise all four advanced to the second round. The songs that I entered “Mike on a Bike”, “The Tickle Song”, “The Counting Game” and “Sweet Little Baby Love”.
Now it seems that “The Tickle Song” (probably the best childrens song of the lot I sent off) has advanced to the Semi-finals.
Wish me luck!! The finalists are announced Feb 1st.
