Born into a musical household – her father a professional jazz bassist and her mother a recreational classical pianist - it seemed a career in music was inevitable for Courtney. She has completed her degree in music at York University, majoring in jazz piano performance. She works as a freelance jazz performer as well as a vocal instructor, plays guitar and sings in her work with Rainbow Songs. Courtney has toured extensively in a wide range of venues with her jazz ensemble, but now is focusing on bringing the joy of music to children.
