Cathy de Goede
Cathy has always been passionate about music. At the age of eight, she travelled with her family to Slovenia where she developed an interest in the accordion and then studied it for many years. She is a composer and player of many instruments including the organ, French horn, guitar, and of course, the accordion. Being someone who wants to share her love of music with others and in particular children Cathy decided to pursue a career in early childhood music education. She studied ECE (Early Childhood Education) at George Brown College in Toronto. She has taught children in many inner city child care centres and schools across the city, and incorporated music into any program she has been a part of  - including her two years as an ESL teacher in South Korea. While there, she developed programs integrating music and language education. Cathy is currently enrolled in the post-graduate Early Childhood Music Education program at the Royal Conservatory of Music, in conjunction with Ryerson University. A tireless learner, she studied the Orff, Kodaly and Dalcroze methods.
