Carolyn studied dance in Moncton,
NB, where she was born and raised. After dancing intensively for a few years,
she was accepted in The DancEast Young Company, a pre-professional dance
company. During her last year of high school, she was invited to join The
Cameron MacMaster’s Contemporary Dance Company. After dancing with the company
for several months, she left and completed her first year of University in
Moncton where she studied Multidisciplinary Arts. Though she always enjoyed
performing, teaching was always Carolyn’s main interest. Over the past eight
years, she has taught Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Hip-Hop,
Cardio-Dance and Acrobatics in several studios and fitness centres in Moncton
and Toronto. She has also been a guest teacher for hip-hop classes in
elementary schools in Toronto and Ottawa. She has always enjoyed working with
young children. After completing a four-month co-op program in a kindergarten
class, she worked at Headstart, a day care centre in Moncton for abused and
neglected children. Carolyn graduated from the Dance Program at York University
with a BFA in 2006. She has completed the Rainbow Dance teacher training and is
very excited to teach this exciting program!
